Iam Sai Varshith avunoori,
I’m based in Hyderabad, India.
I’ve been working with Websites for a long time — my journey with it started back when I was in 8th standard. Even during my school days, I was always curious about how websites worked, how things were built, and how small changes could completely change how something looked or behaved.
Before WordPress, I actually started as a blogger. I was writing and managing blogs on Google’s Blogger (Blogspot) platform. While it helped me understand publishing and content, I quickly felt limited. Customization was restricted, control was minimal, and I couldn’t really build things the way I imagined. That frustration is what pushed me to explore WordPress — and once I did, I never looked back.
WordPress gave me freedom.
Freedom to customize, to experiment, to break things and fix them again. Over time, what started as curiosity turned into real, hands-on experience — building websites, managing content, handling themes, plugins, hosting setups, and understanding how everything connects behind the scenes. Since then, WordPress has been my primary tool, and it’s also what I confidently recommend to clients when they need something flexible, scalable, and reliable.
As I grew more confident, I moved into freelancing, working with clients through platforms like Upwork and Fiverr. I don’t hide this part of my journey — it taught me a lot. Freelancing exposed me to real client problems: unclear requirements, tight timelines, broken websites, payment issues, hosting confusion, and performance drops. These weren’t theoretical projects; these were live websites that people depended on.
Eventually, I took the next step and started Shekel Tech — a small agency focused on website and WordPress-related services. What makes this unique is that, while I’m based in India, Shekel Tech primarily serves clients in Israel. This meant working with people whose primary language is Hebrew, not English. At first, this looked like a barrier — but it turned into one of my strongest learning experiences.
Running and working within a multilingual, international setup taught me how to communicate clearly, patiently, and responsibly. I learned how to explain technical problems in simple terms, how to guide decisions without overwhelming clients, and how to stay calm even when something critical breaks. Language was never an excuse — I used research, tools, documentation, and modern technology (including AI when needed) to bridge gaps and deliver results.
Most of my work today comes from real-world WordPress situations:
websites breaking unexpectedly, payment gateways failing, DNS and domain issues, performance drops, plugin or theme conflicts, and general confusion around how WordPress actually works in production environments. I don’t rush fixes. I take time to understand the root cause and resolve problems in a way that doesn’t create another issue later.
One thing I’m very comfortable with is saying “I don’t know” — because I know that I’ll learn it. If I face something unfamiliar, I research deeply, test safely, read documentation, and figure it out. That habit has stayed with me from the beginning, and it’s one of the reasons I’ve been able to handle diverse and complex situations over the years.
Today, my work sits at the intersection of web design, WordPress systems, and real client support. I design websites, yes — but more importantly, I make sure they work reliably, are easy for clients to manage, and don’t fall apart under real usage. I take ownership of what I build and what I support.
WordPress has been a constant part of my journey — from a school-time blogger to a freelancer, to running an agency serving international clients. I continue to learn, improve, and contribute, and I approach every project with the same mindset: stay calm, understand the problem clearly, and fix it properly.
